LifePro Wellness & Fitness Assessments

A wellness and fitness exam conducted by a physical therapist is a thorough fitness evaluation designed to assess an individual’s physical health, functional abilities, and fitness level. It helps identify any imbalances, weaknesses, or areas of concern, while also providing a baseline for future progress. This is truly a holistic and preventative approach to your health and wellness needs. Both LifePro Blue and Orange Fitness Assessments include:

A Full Body Musculoskeletal Evaluation

  • Medical History: The physical therapist will begin by asking about your medical history, lifestyle habits, exercise routine, and any current health issues. This includes questions about pain, injuries, or limitations you have experienced in the past.
  • Goals: They may also ask about your goals—whether you're looking to improve strength, flexibility, balance, or prevent pain/injury.
  • Gross Posture and Movement Assessment: The therapist will observe your posture while you stand, sit, and move. This helps them identify any misalignments or imbalances in your body. They may also assess how you walk (gait) and how you perform common movements, such as squatting or bending, to evaluate functional mobility.
  • Gross Mobility and Strength Testing: The therapist will assess the range of motion in various joints to identify stiffness, tightness, or restrictions. This helps determine flexibility levels and if any specific muscles or joints need attention. A series of strength assessments may be done to measure the power of specific muscle groups. This could involve lifting weights or using resistance bands to see how strong your muscles are and how they compare to normal benchmarks.

A Personalized Preventative Exercise Program

  • A preventative exercise program customized to help you as an individual reduce the risk of injury, improve overall physical health, and maintain long-term wellness. The program is tailored to the individual’s specific needs, fitness level, and goals, after the assessment by the physical therapist is completed.

LifePro Blue Assessment also includes:

  • Balance and Coordination Tests: Tests such as standing on one leg or performing heel-to-toe walking help evaluate balance, stability, and coordination, which are crucial for preventing falls and maintaining functional mobility.
  • Specialized Assessments: Depending on your history and preventative needs, additional tests may be performed, such as flexibility assessments (e.g., sit-andreach test), or functional movement screenings for specific sport or daily activityrelated needs.
  • 30 Minute Virtual Follow Up: To conduct an ergonomic review of your home office set up or work station.

LifePro Blue Assessment also includes:

  • Body Composition/Weight Analysis: Your therapist may assess body composition, including weight, body fat percentage, and muscle mass, to gauge overall fitness levels and set achievable goals.
  • Mental Health and Dietary Questionnaires: This is a tool used to assess an individual’s eating habits, nutritional intake, and mental well-being, and gathers important information about a person’s lifestyle, emotional health, and how these factors might influence one another. The information collected helps create a more personalized approach to treatment, counseling, or health interventions, with referrals to specific medical professionals as needed.
  • Specialized Assessments:Depending on your history, preventative needs, and sport specific requirements, additional tests may be performed, such as ACL Return to Sport Testing or a Running Analysis designed to determine your readiness for returning/continuing/progression in your sport.
